The flavor Strawberry & Hibiscus Flowers was an easy choice – the two pair together for a fizzy and fruity combination. This floral celebration is naturally sweet, without the overindulgent feeling afterward. I absolutely love the deep berry color of this one. Studies have shown that when our drinks (or food) look good then we are more likely to consume them. This brew not only looks inviting, but the sweet strawberry taste is incredibly delicious. (I could be biased. Strawberries are my favorite fruit! Every Mother’s Day I make chocolate-covered strawberries with my toddlers. We make our own chocolate with raw cacao butter, raw cacao powder, local wildflower honey, and a pinch of ancient sea salt. Delicious!) I chose this flavor for the nutritional and medicinal possibilities.

Strawberry

  • packed with fiber, potassium (works well as an electrolyte), and vitamin C (enhances immune system function and collagen production)
  • one of the top ten fruits to reduce the risk of cancer due to the high antioxidant levels
  • aids weight loss and helps to control cravings
  • stabilizes blood sugar levels

Hibiscus Flowers

  • have a natural cooling effect on the body (excellent for treating fevers)
  • calm muscle spasms
  • act as a smoothing treatment for acne and skin care, and provide luxurious benefits to the scalp and hair
  • have strong blood building capabilities so they are useful for treating anemia
  • treat respiratory problems (are often used in herbal cough syrups or steam inhalations)
